Plastic hand extruder meets customer demand for versatility

Welwyn Tool Group has introduced the Leister Fusion 3C plastic hand extruder, which is strategically placed between the smaller Fusion 2 and big brother Fusion 3. It achieves an output of 3.5kg/h and can be used for precision welding of pipelines, industrial containers, landfill membranes and general plastic fabrication.
A new, shorter handle addresses customers’ demands for an extruder that can undertake repair work in tight spaces, and in common with other extruders in the range, the Fusion 3C features Leister’s novel cold start protection facility.
Weighing just 6.9kg and measuring 588mm in length, the unit also features a welding shoe that can be rotated through 360o, enabling operators to weld at any angle and to work in both horizontal and vertical directions. Air temperature is set via an on board potentiometer and twist-free welding is provided for 3mm and 4mm rods with feed from both sides.
