Impact resistant casting system is DE-DDM free

Huntsman Advanced Materials' RenCast 6425A / RenCast 5425B is formulated for the production of castings and for those applications requiring high levels of toughness and durability. Using new technology, the new material has been formulated without DE-DDM. This system can be used in a range of casting applications including foundry patterns and core boxes, applications needing high performance like conveyor rollers, machinery parts and assembly jigs.

Besides the exceptional abrasion resistance and high level of toughness, this system offers flexibility in a wide range of applications. The main features are very good chemical resistance, high tear resistance and high elongation. Its ability to withstand moisture also makes it suitable for thin layer applications.

Easy to process at room temperature due to its low viscosity, RenCast 6425A / RenCast 5425B offers good pot life and excellent flow characteristics.

Huntsman Advanced Materials offers other products in its DE-DDM ‘free’ Polyurea range including a more flexible casting system, RenCast 6427A / RenCast 5427B (75 Shore A), and a new Gelcoat system.
