A specialist in the design and manufacture of miniature transmission products, Rotalink has introduced two planetary/spur gearboxes that, despite their small size, are capable of transmitting torque of up to 10Nm. The two units include the Type 230, which delivers up to 5Nm at input ratios from 25:1 to 1,000:1, and the type 260, which delivers the full 10Nm through input ratios from 50:1 to 2,000:1. Both offer alternative input ratios up to 12,800:1. The units can be supplied with ac or dc motor connected, and a single- or dual-line encoder can be fitted, if required.
