FAG/Barden’s new DL (direct ‘lube’) bearing range for spindle
applications is designed to take oil directly to the rolling contact
surfaces, thus optimising performance and facilitating speeds of up to
2.8 x 10!6 mm/min. The bearing also uses precision O-rings to concentrate
lubricant at critical bearing areas and reduce the problems associated
with excess lubrication. For some applications, oil supply can be
accomplished axially (ie from the side), as well as radially through
holes in the bearing outer ring.
