Nicomatic (UK) has introduced a range of flexible PCB mounting connectors on a 2.54mm pitch that latch to the PCB for applications that may be susceptible to vibration. New contacts are also available that can be used to convert the flexible tail into a square male connector and provide either bare pins or pins shrouded in a plastic housing. Tail extensions can be provided with a physical latch that will mate to a female connector crimped to another flexible tail - or vice versa. Cable assemblies can be made to customer specifications, based on flat circuit technology/cable or discrete wires, and there is the option for a customer specified connector at the PCB end.
