Balluff has a new high-power remote system that is capable of
transmitting not only power across an air gap, but also sensor and
control signals. Useful for dynamic applications in which fixed wiring is
impossible, or as a contact-less alternative to slip-rings, the
high-power remote has no wearing mechanical parts and is sealed to IP67.
The device will also transmit power and signals through a layer of glass
or plastic.
