Open network sensor communication unit for CC-Link, DeviceNet and EtherCAT

Panasonic Electric Works has introduced a network sensor communication unit that allows a range of Panasonic sensors to interface to open networks that include CC-Link and DeviceNET. The SC-GU3 series Communication Units allows various Pansonic fibre-optic, Laser and Pressure sensor products to interface to CC-Link, DeviceNET and EtherCAT. Up to 16 individual sensors can be addressed by each communication unit.

This allows the reading/monitoring of digital and analogue values, modification of sensor setup parameters, and a reduction in wiring and installation time.
