Timing belts now available in anti-static versions

Breco T5, T10, AT5 and AT10 polyurethane timing belts are now available in anti-static versions, compliant with ISO 9563. Available exclusively in the UK from Transmission Developments, the new belts come in a wide range of open and joined lengths. The new belt features layers of non-stick and wear-resistant anti-static material on both inner and outer belt surfaces.

Continuous tests for ISO 9563 certification confirmed that the Breco belts performed well within the required levels for electrical conductivity for safe use in hazardous and restricted environments. They can be used in applications involving the minimisation of radio frequency interference (RFI), sensitive electronic equipment, risk of ignition or explosion of flammable materials, or risk of electric shock.

Transdev also supplies anti-static coatings for other timing and power transmission belts conforming to BS2050 (1978) and DIN22104, as well as supplying belt surface conductivity testing equipment for planned maintenance on belt systems.
