Intertronics has introduced the Opti-tec range of two-part epoxy systems and other materials for applications in the optics industry, such as fibre optic terminating, optical assembly and potting. Some are suitable for use in disposable medical devices (ISO 10993) and glass bonding, or bonding in any application where transparency is important.
Included among the products are high temperature (and fast cure) epoxies for fibre optic applications, as well as colour change thixotropic and autoclavable variants for potting and similar applications. High clarity optical grade epoxies are available in the range, as are water-soluble temporary adhesives and an optically clear silicone rubber encapsulant. Materials are supplied in twin-packs, side-by-side double syringe cartridges or in bulk.
