Spring-loaded LVDT is easier to install

The new GHSE 750 spring-loaded LVDT position sensor from Macro Sensors consists of a spring-loaded shaft running in a precision sleeve bearing, which is connected to the LVDT core. According to Macro, this arrangement simplifies mechanical set-up and installation into automated machinery, being less complicated and more cost-effective than other sensor configurations.

Constructed entirely of stainless steel, these hermetically-sealed, 19mm diameter sensors offer sensing ranges from 2.5mm to 100mm, accurate to +/-0.25% of full scale output. The units accept a standard PLC 24V supply and provide a 0-10V output, suitable for connection to a wide range of controllers, indicators and data acquisition instrumentation.
