ifm releases NPN version of its O7 range of miniature photoelectric sensors

The O7 range of miniature photoelectric sensors from ifm electronic, currently available in PNP versions, is now offered with NPN equivalents. Measuring only 15 x 9 x 26mm, these sensors are now available with through-beam, retro-reflective and diffuse sesning options in both NPN and PNP versions. The sender/receiver version has a 1,500mm range, while the retro-reflective has a 1,000mm range. The diffuse units are all background-suppressed and offer ranges up to 30mm, 50mm and 100mm.

The visible red light makes these sensors simple to align, especially when used together with the wide range of fixing accessories available.

Connection is also simple, using the industry-standard M8 connector (three-pin) which is complemented by ifm’s own EVC range of socket leads and connecting jumper cables.

The units are sealed and fixed in function. Light-on or dark-on versions are made available separately.
