Super-compact, high-power drives from Danfoss

Danfoss VLT Drives will show its new super-compact, high-power drives, with a 450kW model on display. The efficiency of this range (better than 98%) means much reduced heat losses and thus an extremely compact format, making IP54 enclosures available as standard, along with the more common IP00 and IP21 enclosures. The low losses also mean the range is designed for compact 'zero side clearance' mounting and front access only for ease of installation and servicing. RFI filtering up to Class A1 is standard, allowing output cable lengths of up to 150m.

A wide range of options and hardware variants has been engineered into the design. Fusing and mains disconnect are available as an option, as is a 24volt external control supply. The design has been guided by active customer input to ensure ease of installation, serviceability and high up-time. The EMC optimised design of the enclosure makes for simple and cost effective connection of cable screens.

Also on display will be a new optional variant of the high performance VLT AutomationDrive FC302 in an IP55 enclosure, complete with integral mains disconnect switch. Danfoss will also be demonstrating the latest MCT10 programming software and the logic control wizard, which makes these drives easy to commission and operate. Consultants will also be on hand to discuss your application problems and arrange site visits and energy surveys.
