Schaeffler UK has introduced a range of ready-to-fit, high-precision bearings for applications with combined loads. The range includes axial/radial bearings, axial angular contact ball bearings and axial/radial bearings with integral angular measuring system. The axial/radial series comprises double direction axial bearings for screw mounting, with a radial guidance bearing. These pre-greased units are very rigid and can support radial and axial forces from both directions, and tilting movements free from clearance.
The axial angular contact ball bearings feature high tilting rigidity and are particularly suitable for high-speed applications of long operating durations. The integral measurement system supplied with the axial/radial bearing series is capable of measuring angles to an accuracy of a few seconds of arc by non-contact, magneto-resistive methods. It has automatically self-adjusting electronics and a self-centring function.
