Non-isolated 3A dc/dc switching regulators for PoL applications

Powersolve has released a series of non-isolated 3A dc/dc switching regulators designed for point of load applications. The Traco Power TSR-3 series step down regulators feature wide 2.5 to 5.5V, 4.5 to 14V and 10 to 30Vdc input ranges and offer adjustable output voltages between 0.6 and 15Vdc. The devices are up to 95% efficient, which allows a full 3A operation at up to +50ºC ambient temperature without the need for heat-sink or forced cooling.

These are low-profile, open-frame units which feature short circuit protection, low output ripple and noise and a remote on/off input making them ideal for many battery powered applications.
