Italian ski champ secures world cup - with the application of a little adhesive!

A gold medal for Italian slalom champion Giorgio Rocca followed a quick fix with Araldite adhesives after his favourite ski boots cracked during the Men's World Cup event at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. The boots were made to mould securely around his feet at 1/2 a size shorter than his normal shoes, making ski manoeuvres easier. A run in a brand new pair proved uncomfortable, with potentially worrying implications for Rocca's performance.

Boots play an important part in a skier's performance, even more than the ski itself, as they transfer commands from the skier to the ski.
The multipurpose adhesive used for Rocca's repair has excellent bonding strength - perfect for withstanding the physical demands made on the boots, and providing proof that its easy to apply, fast cure resin can be relied upon in the most critical of situations.
