'Proxidrive' - getting closer to the process

Leroy Somer's Proxidrive allows users to take motor control to the heart of their applications, removing the need for control cabinets and troublesome cable runs - even in the most hostile of industrial environments. Environmentally and shock protected to IP66 and IK08 respectively, Proxidrive features smooth surfaces and reduced surface tensions and enclosure angles, making it suitable for many applications in the food industry.

The unit offers variable speed control (open and closed loop flux vector), and fieldbus connectivity via Profibus and DeviceNet protocols. Internal PLC function blocks are also available for external machine control, allowing external PLCs to be eliminated in certain applications. Other features include integral disconnect, avoiding the need for an external line contactor, brake motor contactor and Class A EMC filter.
