Equipment Class 0.5 reference tranducers offer force range up to 5MN

HBM has launched its C18 reference force transducers with a nominal force range of up to 5MN. Reference transducers are used to calibrate force measurement transducers by comparing results against a defined standard. The C18 reference transducers comply with equipment class 0.5 as defined by the international standard DIN EN ISO 376, which specifies the calibration of force-proving instruments used with uniaxial stress.

An alternative version of the C18 reference force transducer is available that complies with the maximum equipment class 00.

To simplify mounting, the C18 is supplied complete with a mounting base and a thrust piece as force application parts. This makes safe, reliable calibration easier.

Typical users of reference force transducers include metrological institutes, companies providing force transducer calibration as a service, and establishments with large numbers of force transducers needing regular calibration.
