David Brown’s new Series G
BSL has added David Brown’s new Series G range of helical and bevel
medium/heavy duty industrial gearboxes to its power transmission range.
Comprising six parallel drive and six right-angle drive sizes, the Series
G features case hardened and ground helical gears with increased overlap
ratios for better load sharing and reduced transmission error, noise and
vibration. to match the increase in gear performance, double row
spherical bearings are used on all of the helical lines. These carry more
load and generate less heat, enabling larger diameter output shafts to be
fitted for greater overhung load capacity. The bearings require no shims
or end-float adjustment, making assembly and servicing much easier.
