Electro Mechanical Systems is currently supplying a new two-phase stepper
motor from the Swiss manufacturer, Arsape, which is capable of achieving
a peak torque of 45mNm and an output of 2.5W, all from a 22mm diameter by
27.5mm long motor frame. The AM2224 is supplied in 3, 6, 12 and 24V
versions and offers an angular step of 18o (smaller in micro-stepping
mode). A gearhead increases the available torque to 0.7Nm (1Nm
intermittent).
