Gel-filled enclosure for extreme environments

Spelsberg has enhanced its Abox extreme environment gel filled enclosure system with the new and improved Abox Magic GT. With a new gel formulation that offers higher performance and is easier to use, the system provides an extremely durable solution to the problem of protecting electrical components from the ingress of water, soil, sand and grit. The IP68 rated system is also reusable as the gel is easily removed.

The enhanced GT gel is based on cast resin technology and is halogen-free. The Abox enclosures range in size from 80x80x52mm to 140x140x79mm, and will handle cable cross sections from 1.5 to 10mm2. They can be filled with the gel cleanly and tidily using a handy mixer bag. Once cured, the gel-filled enclosures offer assured ingress protection, are shock and fracture-proof.

The Abox Magic GT system has been tested to DIN EN60 529, IP68.
