Small full-featured IP68/69K AS-i modules

Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced a line of fully-featured AS-Interface (AS-i) modules in what it believes is the smallest housing available. The G10 is small enough to be dropped in cable trays, and light enough to be supported by the cables they are connected to, without having to bolt them down – though this can be done if desired. The modules are IP68/69K rated so can be subjected to frequent wash-downs and cleaning with harsh chemicals.

The G10 modules come with integrated pigtails. Sensors (inputs) and outputs are quickly connected; no additional cables are needed. The G10 module family comes with two inputs (2 IN) on every model. A model with two inputs and one output (2 IN / 1 OUT) is also available, making the G10 family suitable for highly distributed installations like conveyor sections and packaging machines.

The G10 includes many of the features of the G11 family that was introduced in 2010. The same concentric seal contours are incorporated around the gold-plated piercing contacts, so that all G10 modules satisfy IP68/69K. The rugged housing material (PBT) and centre stainless steel mounting screw are also retained.
