in the new Steelflex product format, which combines the high load
capacities of standard gear couplings with the flexibility of elastomer
based variants. Offering torque capacities of up to 932,000Nm, Steelflex
comprises a high-strength steel grid looped through the central body of
the coupling. The body prevents horizontal and vertical movement, while
the grid acts as a flexing element to absorb the effects of shaft
misalignment, shock loads and motor or engine vibration. The coupling is
available in 25 sizes and eleven different types, and can fit
applications with bores of up to 508mm.
