‘Terminal and rail in synergy’ or taris, as Wieland calls its new range
of DIN rail connection blocks, is claimed to reduce total wiring time by
as much as 60% as virtually no cable preparation is required. The
top-entry system places the wire entry and screwdriver access point in
the same area, allowing the installer to complete the connection task
easily, even in confined spaces. No special tools are required. The
terminal block housing is made from polyamide 6.6 to V0 flammability,
while the metal parts are made of special surface treated alloys. Present
block widths are 5mm for 1mm2 cross-section cable and 6mm for 2.5m2. They
are colour coded according to conductor size and are available in
feed-through, ground, disconnect, double-tier and dual-feed versions.
Both blocks are rated to 600V at 15A (5mm) and 25A (6mm).
