Autodesk has announced its intention to develop a dedicated 3D modelling
kernel, called ShapeManager, which will be based on Spatial Corporation's
ACIS 7.0 kernel. Intended for inclusion within Autodesk Inventor and the
AutoCAD family of products, the new module promises improved robustness,
more complex geometry capability and high performance.
