Stepper Driver Has Integrated Power Supply

Astrosyn's new digitally controlled stepper motor driver features an integral 70V power supply, making it easier to integrate into systems that do not provide such a high voltage dc rail. The step and direction driver provides a micro-stepping output of up to 5A, with its status displayed on a seven-segment LED. All the digital inputs and outputs are optically isolated and DIP switches allow functions to be set by the user. The unit is capable of driving a motor in open velocity and position loops, according to internal or external acceleration and deceleration ramps.
