Raychem QFT heat shrinkable system
The Raychem QFT heat shrinkable system, which is available in the UK from
Tyco Electronics, enables cables transitions and break-outs to be
conveniently formed and sealed without having to call off specific fixed
geometries. The system comes in a kit comprising heat shrink ratio
moulded sleeve lined with hot melt adhesive, together with division
clips, which are simply crimped into place to configure the required
geometry. When shrunk down, QFT applies electrical insulation, mechanical
protection and a permanent seal against moisture or chemical ingress. The
crimps allow transitions of 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4, and thanks to high shrink
ratio, almost any common transition requirement can be met by just three
product sizes.
