A Low Noise Replacement For Standard Roller Chain

Tsubaki’s new SN low noise drive chain is claimed to be between 6 and 8dB quieter than standard roller chain, which it directly replaces for speeds up to 200m/min. The usual cylindrical roller is replaced by a coil spring roller, which absorbs the noise produced when it engages with the sprocket teeth. In addition to lower overall noise, the arrangement also reduces ‘jarring’ noises.
