New generation 'Lambda' chain is longer lasting
Tsubaki's new lube-free BS/DIN Lambda chain features a number of
improvements, not least being the performance of its oil impregnated
bushings that provide better lubrication under load, over a wide
temperature range. There have also been a number of metallurgical
developments in the area of the link plates, rollers and pins, improving
wear resistance and thus prolonging chain service life. In addition, the
strength of the link plate around the pinholes has been increased, so the
connecting link retains the same high strength and wear resistance as the
rest of the chain. Corrosion issues have been addressed by the
application of a magnetite coating on the inner and outer link plate
surfaces. This ensures that the chain remains dry to the touch but is
more tolerant of liquid splashes and atmospheric moisture.
