'Clip Top' chain
Tsubaki has introduced a 'Clip Top' chain in which thermoplastic covers
fit seamlessly and securely over extended pins on each link of a steel
base chain. The combination retains the inherent strength of the steel
chain, while providing a more 'material-friendly' surface on which
delicate items can be placed for conveying and transfer. Plastic covers
are supplied in three types: standard, electro-conductive and high
friction, the last offering about 1.6 times the surface friction
coefficient of standard plastic chain in a dry environment. Clip Top
chain comes in three pitches and will run at speeds of up to 60m/min.
