Tsubaki's is claimed to offer better performance,
size-for-size, than standard roller chain, and is particularly suitable
for applications requiring a high resistance to shock loads and fatigue
failure. Because they perform better, HT 'Super' chains can generally be
specified one or two sizes smaller than the standard roller chains that
they replace, so they offer space-saving advantages. The greater tensile
strength is achieved by the use of through-hardened pins and thicker side
plates.
