Turn Your Pc Into A Motion Controller

Building a motion control system based on a standard PC is made all the easier with a new ActiveX software component from Trio Motion Technology (TMT). Designed for use with its USB daughter board, the system allows users to execute commands in Trio’s motion controllers just as if the relevant programming functions were resident in the PC itself. The ActiveX component and USB daughter board can be used in conjunction with TMT’s MC216 (1-16 axes/15 simultaneous control programs), MC204 (1-4 axes/5 simultaneous control programs) and MC Euro 205 (4-axis control on a single Eurocard) motion controllers. The USB link operates at 12Mbit/s and avoids having to bring potentially noisy interface signals to the PC. The ActiveX component plus full documentation in Adobe Acrobat format can be downloaded from TMT’s web site.
