Available in the UK from Transdev, Breco's new Brecoflex StandardPlus
endless polyurethane timing belts are suitable for precision positioning
and speed control applications, thanks to their improved tooth-pitch
accuracy and bifilar steel tensioning system that greatly reduces belt
run-off. Under test, a StandardPlus belt of 2,500mm length achieved a
positioning accuracy of between +/-0.03 and +/-0.05mm per metre of travel
- more akin to the performance of a standard grade ball screw.
The belt is supplied in a number of open lengths but it can be customised
with full manufacturing of standard and special Breco belts direct from
Transdev's factory. Belt configurations include single or double-sided
versions, reinforced belt backings, anti-static, coloured, machine ground
and a punched version. Matching standard and customised pulleys can also
be manufactured by Transdev for the entire Breco range.
