A gap in the fastener specifier's armoury of information sources has
been closed with the launch of a new, easy-to-use electronic product
guide that is available free of charge to OEMs
According to TR Fastenings' marketing manager, Keith Gibb, many designers
and specifiers have limited access to good technical and dimensional data
on standard fasteners - until now, that is. Some six months and 2,000
man-hours of work by TR's marketing team have culminated in the release
of a new CD-ROM based electronic product guide, which is available free
to OEMs.
The TR guide features dimensional data, drawings, test data and preferred
stock sizes on thousands of fasteners. There's an intuitive interface
that allows the user to search by thumbnail, keywords or international
standards, and if you need to find metric or imperial equivalents, a
handy unit conversion assistant is available as part of the package.
Although designed for installation on stand alone PCs, the electronic
guide can also be installed on central server networks, enabling larger
companies to make it available to everyone within their organisations. It
has a simple-to-use enquiry and feedback system, and there are regular
updates available from the TR web site, from which the guide can also be
downloaded.
