'Next generation' vacuum pump is light and compact
ASF Thomas has introduced a new miniature diaphragm vacuum
pump/compressor that is claimed to meet new standards of performance in a
compact, lightweight unit. The 7006 weighs 660g and is less than 13cm
long, yet it can provide air flows from 7.2 to 13.8 litre/min at a
maximum pressure of 2.5bar and lowest vacuum of 850mbar. The new pump
features a leak-proof diaphragm in a range of material options, including
EPDM, Perbunan, Viton and Teflon, and threaded ports for more secure
connections. A fully enclosed crankcase protects against environmental
contamination and reduces operating noise levels to around 52dBA.
