Foremost Electronics has added new products to its MEC multimec switch range, including orange and white LED illumination, and frosted caps for more even light dispersion. A custom cap printing service is also offered. There are four basic switch modules, 3A, 3C, 3E and 3F, which provide all the components you need to assemble a wide variety of switching options, both illuminated and non-illuminated, and offering a mechanical life of ten million switching cycles. A 1mm actuator travel combined with 3N actuation force provides a positive, audible switching action.
All multimec switches are sealed to IP67M and may be specified with optional increased actuation force, to provide additional tactile “feel” in noisy environments. Conversely, a "quiet" version is available for audio, broadcast or medical applications.
The multimec range is RoHS compliant available in either through-hole or surface mounting, with either silver or optional gold contacts and in standard or high temperature models.
