Barbed Pins Keep Automotive Door Handle Assemblies Together

Spirol has introduced a range of solid-head, barbed pins that provide a cost-effective means of fastening automotive door handle assemblies. The HP400 series pins achieve low in-place costs and easy alignment of holes within the assembly. Once aligned, the pins are inserted with a low insertion force, which minimises the risk of breakage during assembly. In their installed position, the pins provide a positive secure seating to ensure a consistent hinge action. Three pin sizes are available in various diameters and lengths, manufactured from low carbon steels, high-strength alloy steels and austenitic stainless steels. Various finishes are available, including plain, phosphate coated, electro-zinc plated and passivated. The company can also supply automatic feeders for all sizes of pins to maximise customers' productivity.
