The electronic ATEX cylinder sensor MK502A from ifm electronic is certified to category 1G 1D for Zones 0 or 20 hazardous areas. A 6m long cable (which can be cut to length, as required) is provided to reach the control panel located in a non-hazardous area.
The sensor can be inserted into the T-slot from the top and its moulded housing is secured by a stainless steel fixing that, at the same time, serves as strain relief.
If needed, optional adapters allow the T-slot sensor to be fixed to all common cylinder types. The company also offers a range of corresponding switching amplifiers for these Namur sensors.
