Southco's new folding T-handle style compression latch was developed in
response to demand for an aesthetically pleasing closure fastening system
for the heavy-duty machinery and transportation industries. The new
product is robustly constructed and effectively sealed against
environmental contaminants, while its corrosion-resistant finish has
passed a 500 hour salt fog test.
The latch provides 6.4mm of consistent pull-up compression, eliminating
the effects of shock and vibration, and providing a tight, environmental
seal, which also reduces noise emissions. It comes in two styles: with
mounting cup for flush surface mounting, and as a handle-only version for
custom-designed panels. The latch can be supplied either with or without
a lock.
