Southco’s new chromium-plated hinge has a lift-off feature that allows
doors to be easily removed from enclosures for unrestricted access to
their internals. The two-piece design allows the hinge to be used in
various door and frame configurations, including offset-mount and
flush-mount. The hinge pivots about an external point, providing full
270° rotation, depending on the mounting configuration.
Installation is via five round holes that accept four mounting screws and
one positioning post that is moulded into the hinge. When installed, no
hardware is visible, which renders the hinge tamper-proof from the
outside. The mounting screws fasten securely with a thread-forming
action, and accommodate a panel thickness of up to 13mm.
