George Fischer presents a new generation of diaphragm valves

A new range of diaphragm valves from George Fischer Piping System features a central union nut instead of the usual four metal screws. This non-corrosive connection is characterised by homogeneous temperature behaviour, an even surface pressure and high pressure rating up to 16 bar. The optimised flow geometry delivers double the flow rate with the same pressure loss as the previous version, and almost linear flow characteristics.

The weir of the branched zero dead leg/zero static valve has been moved directly to the pipe wall of the main line, reducing the dead leg to an absolute minimum and thus increasing the hygienic performance of the unit.

Standard equipment includes a lockable handwheel, a two-coloured indicator and an interface for a self-adjusting limit switch sets new standards in terms of user-friendliness.

These diaphragm valves are currently available in PVC-U, ABS & PP, with PVDF available later in the year. The valves are available in sizes ½in to 2in, 16mm to 63mm, with range of end connections. All valves are suitable for actuation.
