Schurter has added a capacitive switch (5 to24Vdc) to its range of Piezo and robust mechanical switching devices for tough environmental duties. Like piezo switches , capacitive devices have no mechanical parts that can fail due to harsh treatment or long term wear. They can also be assembled under glass, if necessary. The aluminium switch house is sealed to IP67 and come in a range of sizes, including M16 with 15mm depth, M22 and M30. Supplied in three function types -momentary, defined pulse and latching - the switches can be supplied in different colurs and with lettering applied to specification.
