Subrack Cover System Meets Aesthetic And Ergonomic Needs For The Desktop

A new subrack cover system from Schroff, called Projet, offers an aesthetic and ergonomic alternative to conventional cabinets or cases housing equipment for the desktop. The four-part Projet kit consists of styled top and bottom mouldings manufactured from tough, flame resistant ABS, and two powder coated extruded aluminium side panels. The wide range of side panels available means that subracks between 2 and 12U can be covered. The width is set at 84HP, while the depth of a Projet case is 300mm. Shorter subracks can be accommodated using an optional back panel through which power inputs and other cables can be routed. The thermal performance of the subrack is not compromised when mounted inside a Projet case as there are ventilation slots in both top and bottom sections. The bottom section has feet, which slightly raise the enclosure above the desktop, allowing good air circulation.
