Control Circuit Protection Without Fuses

The Telemecanique GB2 thermal-magnetic circuit breaker range from Schneider Electric provides more effective and convenient protection for control circuits than more commonly used HRC fuses. Available in single-pole-plus-neutral and two-pole versions, the GB2 is designed to avoid nuisance tripping on current peaks while fully protecting against short-circuit and overload conditions. The compact DIN-rail mounting devices are supplied in three variants: the GB2-CB with 12 ratings up to 20A for single-pole operation; the GB2-CD with solid neutral, which is suitable for protecting single-phase control transformer secondary windings, and the GB2-DB two-pole circuit breaker, which will protect the primary windings of control circuit transformers rated to 5kVA.
