Telemecanique has introduced the Osiris XUM range of infra red
through-beam photoelectric sensors, which are capable of checking the
levels of aqueous liquids in bottles and similar containers moving on a
conveyor at high speed. Switching speeds of up to 1kHz are possible, and
the sensors will operate with most types of opaque plastic container, as
well as transparent containers of all types. The spacing between
transmitter and receiver can be from 100mm to 200mm.
