, Telemecanique has introduced two safety switches that operate when the hinge of the guard door swings by as little as five degrees. The compact XCS-PR provides two output contacts, while the XCS-TR provides three; both are compatible with industry standard mountings, so they easily replace older types of switch. The units feature double-insulated construction and IP67 environmental protection. XCS-PR switches have a single cable entry, while XCS-TR models have two. In each case, the cable entries can be PG11, M16 or 1/2in NPT. The switch contacts are slow-break types with positive action, and are positively driven by the actuator spindle.
