Telemecanique's 'Safety-at-Work' range of safety devices can be connected
to the same AS-i network as conventional control devices. Products
include the AS-I Safe controller with integral safety relay, plus
compact, IP67 protected AS-i Safe input slaves, which can be connected
directly to field mounted safety devices. The AS-i Safe system is fully
compatible with AS-i version 2.1 and requires neither AS-i master nor
fail-safe PLCs, as all safety monitoring functions are carried out by the
AS-i Safe controller.
