Scantron will be showing several of its key measuring products at Inspex
2001, which co-locates with Manufacturing Week at the NEC. The Proscan
non-contact 3D surface profilometer (illustrated) provides fast and
accurate measurement of profile, roughness and flatness to sub-micron
levels, while the Meclab scanning laser gauge measures diameters to an
accuracy of one micron. The company will also show its new intelligent
laser speed and length gauge, which is unaffected by wear or slip, and
requires much less maintenance than ordinary tachometers.
