Schneider Electric has enhanced its range of Mita floorboxes with new features to offer greater flexibility and easier installation.
Available in three standard depths - 70mm, 100mm and 130mm – the new floorboxes can be configured as three or four compartment boxes, (with compartment dividers for good separation of power and data)
providing customers with flexibility and choice. Additional plates and accessories provide a greater choice of outlets for power and data. Schneider Electric has also created additional space within its 100mm and 130mm, three compartment floorboxes, for the provision of a circuit breaker, such as an RCD, using the optional din rail kit.
Installation of the new floorboxes has been made simpler with the addition of a quick-fix function, allowing the unit to be push-fitted into the floor for a safe and secure fit.
The steel lids have been reinforced to extend around the cable outlets for a stronger unit. In addition, improvements to the 100mm deep box means it now offers improved space underneath the plate, giving extra area for cables and bending radius.
The unit is available as an empty box or pre-wired, with a choice of plastic or stainless steel trims, depending on the installation, providing contractors and installers with further options.
Gail Whincup from Schneider Electric comments: "The new floorboxes have been developed to offer a wide range of features to help contractors, installers and specifiers meet the pressures of reducing installation times and saving money on projects. As part of our dedication to ongoing research and development, we’ve further improved the quality of our floorboxes to provide customers with a reliable solution they can install with confidence."
