New from SMC, the space-saving MXY air slide table will fit into a tight
space, yet deliver long stroke lengths of up to 400mm with high accuracy
for pick-and-place applications. The unit comprises a magnetically
coupled rodless cylinder with built-in rigid linear guidance system, and
re-circulating linear ball bearings. The MXY offers a solution to the
problems of guide block deflection at stop by having a stroke adjuster at
the centre of the guide block. This allows accurate stroke adjustment,
using either rubber or metal stoppers or standard shock absorbers. Piping
options at either end include lateral and axial entry, plus a centralised
arrangement for particularly narrow applications.
