The compact MHF2 series double-acting, air operated gripper from SMC
Pneumatics provides strokes from 8 to 80mm, and a holding force from 19
to 141N at 5bar (closing stroke 20 to 80mm). An important feature of the
new product is its total lack of end play, which improves the dynamic
performance in applications such as pick-and-place.
The MHF2 offers a low profile, high rigidity and smooth motion, thanks to
the linear guide/double piston configuration, while a choice of piping
ports (axial or lateral) ensures maximum mounting flexibility. The
repeatability of gripper position is a very respectable+/-0.05mm.
